This website has been through a number of iterations since it was first created in 2004. For the original site, I wanted a blurred green background, so I took an close-up picture of a green rug and saved it over and over so that it got really pixelated. For 2004, that worked. My design resources have improved over the years, and I’d like to think the site has too! The current design has been in place for about five years, a lifetime in website years, so along with some content updates I’ve been working on for the last few months, I thought it would be a good time to make some design changes too.
As I’ve started the process, I’ve gotten to a place to click that literally warns me that continuing on could potentially “break the website.” But that seems unlikely to happen, right?
Just in case, I’ve backed everything up in multiple places, but just in case you’ve come looking for something here and wonder why everything looks wonky or is suddenly in a foreign language or upside down or something, know that it will all be up and running and looking fresh and clean as soon as possible.
This is going to be fun.
