My son is in 1st grade this year, and in class his wonderful teacher has the students doing a lot of writing. I love these assignments. It’s wonderful to see how my son’s writing skills have improved over the course of the year, and the ideas my son comes up with often have me laughing out loud.
For Presidents’ Day, the students made construction paper images of themselves “dressed as a President,” he said, and then wrote a response to this prompt, “Why Would You Be a Good President?”
My son may never be elected, but I think he’s got some sound policy ideas:
