April has a lot of special days and reasons to celebrate: It’s National Humor Month and National Smile Month, and April 14 is International Moment of Laughter Day.
It’s Keep American Beautiful Month. And it’s the month to celebrate soft pretzels and pecans.
April is also Tackle Your Clutter Month. But April 7 is “No Housework Day.” Is it possible to celebrate both?
April 3 – Don’t Go to Work Unless It’s Fun Day
One of the things that I loved about being a teacher was that if I was bored with what was happening in my classroom, I could do something about it. If you’re not having fun, your students probably aren’t either… but you can fix it. Do something fun today!
April 7 – World Health Day
Ironically, also Caramel Popcorn Day.
April 16 – National Stress Awareness Day
The day after Tax Day. Enough Said.
April 29 – National Hairball Awareness Day
I have no idea why we need to be aware of hairballs, but if there was ever a day to spend time learning more about them, this must be it!
April 30 – National Honesty Day
Great day to play “Two Truths and a Lie” with students.
Here’s mine:
- I’ve been to all 50 states.
- I’ve run two half marathons.
- I’m allergic to peanuts.
Happy April!
